A Mother’s Prayer
A moment from my first church.
Betty was on my mind the other day.
When The Lord called me into ministry He sent me to a small rural church in Franklin County, VA where I met some amazing people.
Betty was one of those people. She was a deacon who loved The Lord and her church. I remember one Wednesday evening we had a prayer meeting and she just simply prayed:
“Lord, please save my children.”
I remember looking over at her and tears were streaming down her cheeks because her children were unbelievers.
This woman loved her children dearly and just wanted them to be saved
We can take so much for granted these days just by “going to church”. Betty’s children came to church, her son was in my youth ministry and her daughter who had just graduated was in a small college class. But they didn’t believe in Christ.
I sat beside a mother that night weeping for her children’s salvation. Their souls.
We get so caught up in “church work” that we lose what matters most - a person’s soul.
So let me ask you today: how’s your soul today? Have you confessed Christ as Lord? Do you have peace with The Father?
This world is getting worse by the day.
John 3:16-19 - I pray that you read and believe.
Have a blessed day,
Scott
